Bhopal: The counting of votes for the 230 Assembly constituencies that went to polls in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election 2018 on November 28 is underway. The results for Shivpuri, Pichhore, Kolaras, Bamori, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Chanderi and Mungaoli Assembly constituencies will be announced today, December 11. Shivpuri, Pichhore, Kolaras, Bamori, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Chanderi and Mungaoli are witnessing a tough contest between the candidates of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress among other regional and national parties and will get new MLAs today. Shivpuri went to polls on November 28 and recorded a voter turnout of 68 per cent. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between Yashodhara Raje Scindia of the BJP and Sidhharth Lada of the Congress. Among others, who are contesting the elections from the seat are – Mohammad Irshad of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Piyush Sharma of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). BJP’s Yashodhara Raje Scindia wins. In 2013, the seat was won by BJP’s Yashodhara Raje Scindia.

Pichhore is witnessing a close fight between BJP’s Pritam Lodhi and Congress’s KP Singh. They will also face a contest against Lal Ram Yadav of BSP. The seat recorded 69 per cent voter turnout on November 28. Congress wins. In 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election, the seat was won by KP Singh Kakkaju of the Congress.

Kolaras had witnessed 71 per cent voter turnout of November 28. The candidates fighting for the seat are – Virendra Raghuvanshi of the BJP, Mahendra Singh Yadav of the Congress, Ashok Sharma of the BSP and Bhaiyalal Parihar of the AAP. BJP wins. In 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election, Ram Singh Yadav of the Congress had won the seat.

Bamori recorded a voter turnout of 70 per cent on November 28. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Brijmohan Azad, Congress’s Mahendra Singh Sisodia, BSP’s Om Prakash Tripathi and AAP’s Girraj Dhakad. Congress’s Mahendra Singh Sisodia wins. The seat was won by Mahendra Singh Sisodia of the Congress in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election.

Guna recorded a voter turnout of 69 per cent on November 28. The seat, reserved for Scheduled Caste candidate, is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Gopilal Jatav, Congress’s Chandra Prakash Ahirwar, AAP’s Vijay Ahirwar and BSP’s Suresh Kumar Roshan.  BJP’s Gopilal Jatav wins. The seat was won by Pannalal Shakya of the BJP in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election.

Ashok Nagar recorded a voter turnout of 73 per cent on November 28. The seat, reserved for Scheduled Caste candidate, is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Ladduram Kori, Congress’s Jajpal Singh Jajji, BSP’s Balkrishn and AAP’s Lalliram. Congress wins. The seat was won by Gopilal Jatav of BJP in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election.

Chanderi recorded a voter turnout of 74 per cent on November 28. The seat, reserved for Scheduled Caste candidate, is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Bhupendra Dwivedi, Congress’s Gopal Singh Chauhan Daggi Raja and BSP’s Rao Kumar Singh Yadav. Congress wins. The seat was won by Gopal Singh Chauhan Daggi Raja of the Congress in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election.

Mungaoli recorded a voter turnout of 73 per cent on November 28. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s KP Yadav, Congress’s Brajendra Singh Yadav, BSP’s Kamal Singh and AAP’s Devendra Lodhi. Congress wins. The seat was won by Mahendra Singh Kalukheda of the Congress in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election.

The voting for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election 2018 was held on November 28. The counting of votes and the results for all the Assembly constituencies including Shivpuri, Pichhore, Kolaras, Bamori, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Chanderi and Mungaoli will be announced today, December 11.
