Bhopal: The counting of votes for the 230 Assembly constituencies that went to polls in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election 2018 on November 28 is underway. The results for Sirmour, Semariya, Teonthar, Mauganj, Deotalab, Mangawan, Rewa and Gurh Assembly constituencies will be announced today, December 11. Sirmour, Semariya, Teonthar, Mauganj, Deotalab, Mangawan, Rewa and Gurh are witnessing a tough contest between the candidates of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress among other regional and national parties and will get new MLAs today. Sirmour recorded a voter turnout of 66 per cent on November 28. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Divyaraj Singh, Congress’s Aruna Tiwari, BSP’s Ramgarib Banvasi. BJP wins. The seat was won by Divyaraj Singh of the BJP in 2017 Madhya Pradesh Assembly By-Election. According to early trends, BJP is leading.

Semariya is witnessing a close fight between BJP’s KP Tripathi and Congress’ Triyugi Narayan Shukla. He will also face a contest against Pankaj Singh of BSP and Pramod Sharma of AAP. The seat recorded 67 per cent voter turnout on November 28.  BJP wins In 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election, the seat was won by Neelam Abhey Mishra of the BJP. As per early trends, BJP is leading.

Teonthar had witnessed 69 per cent voter turnout of November 28. The candidates fighting for the seat are – Shyamlal Dwivedi of the BJP, Rama Shankar Patel of the Congress, Geeta Rajmani Majhi of BSP.  BJP wins. In 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election, Ramakant Tiwari of the BJP had won the seat.

Mauganj recorded a voter turnout of 64 per cent on November 28. The seat, reserved for Scheduled Caste candidate, is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Pradeep Patel, Congress’s Sukhendra Singh Banna, BSP’s Mrigendra Singh and AAP’s Banshmani. BJP wins. The seat was won by Sukhendra Singh of the Congress in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election.

Deotalab recorded a voter turnout of 66 per cent on November 28. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Girish Goutam, Congress’s Vidyawati Patel, AAP’s Angad Yadav and BSP’s Seema Jaiveer Singh Sengar. BJP wins. The seat was won by Girish Goutam of the BJP in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election.

Mangawan recorded a voter turnout of 66 per cent on November 28. The seat, reserved for Scheduled Caste candidate, is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Panchulal Prajapati, Congress’s Babita Saket, AAP’s Maharathi Prasad Saket and BSP’s Sheela Tyagi. BJP wins. The seat was won by Sheela Devi of BSP in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election. Currently, Congress is leading.

Rewa recorded a voter turnout of 67 per cent on November 28. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Rajendra Shukla, Congress’s Abhay Mishra, AAP’s Gaurav Verma and BSP’s Kasim Khan. BJP wins. The seat was won by Rajendra Shukla of the BJP in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election.

Gurh recorded a voter turnout of 64 per cent on November 28. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Nagendra Singh, Congress’s Sundar Lal Tiwari, AAP’s Balendra Kumar Shukla and BSP’s Muniraj Patel. BJP wins. The seat was won by Sundarlal Tiwari of the Congress in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election.

The voting for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election 2018 was held on November 28. The counting of votes and the results for all the Assembly constituencies including Sirmour, Semariya, Teonthar, Mauganj, Deotalab, Mangawan, Rewa and Gurh will be announced today, December 11.
