1: 26 PM: BJP candidate Dinesh Soni was elected unopposed from ward no 10 of Sendhwa Nagar Palika in Barwani district.

In Barwani district, polling for Sendhwa and Barwani municipal council and Pansemal, Khetia, Palsud, Anjad and Rajpur Nagar Parishad election results was held on January 18. 73.2 per cent of the registered voters cast their votes. The main contest in the Madhya Pradesh Municipal Council and Panchayat Elections 2018 is between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress.

These municipal elections are being seen as the most crucial local body polls for Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led government ahead of the November assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh.
