Madhya Pradesh: Six-year-old Bridge Connecting Jhabua to Ratlam Collapses

Bhopal, Dec 26: A six-year-old bridge joining Ratlam to Jhabua collapsed on Tuesday. The bridge broke into many pieces. It has caused long traffic jams on either side.

Reports said that the bridge was situated at one kilometer from Ramnagar village. The bridge collapsed in the morning. It had developed a crack, but vehicular movement was not stopped by the authorities. The bridge was constructed in 2011.

Meanwhile, the administration has swung into action after the incident. Many senior officials reached the spot. The administration is trying to get traffic jams cleared on both the sides of the bridge. A probe has been launched to find out the reasons for the collapse. No casualties have been reported.
