Maharashtra Civic Election Results 2017 Trends: Shiv Sena strong in Mumbai, Thane; BJP leads in other corporations

In a total number of 227 seats in BMC, Shiv Sena leads in 40 seats; BJP in 27 and Congress in 10. BJP takes big lead in rest of the other corporations.

Maharashtra, Feb 23: The counting of votes for Maharashtra Civic Election Results 2017 began at 10:00 AM and as per the early trends, Shiv Sena is leading in Mumbai and Thane in 95 seats, 17 seats respectively. In all the other corporations, Bharatiya Janata Party is evidently taking lead over Shiv Sena. Across Maharashtra, BJP leading in 6 out of 10 Municipal Corporation. While Shiv Sena has emerged as the leading party in BMC, the Bharatiya Janata Party has been leading in seven of the 10 municipal corporations.

All eyes are on the outcome of the fiercely-fought Maharashtra civic elections results which was fought for 25 Zilla Parishad’s and 10 Corporations across Maharashtra.
