Mumbai, Feb 20: Polling for the 10 Municipal Corporations elections 2017 will be held on February 21. All eyes will be on election of Brhihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Nashik Municipal Corporations. Ahead of the polling, the State Election Commission, Maharashtra has uploaded voter list for BMC, TMC, PMC and NMC elections 2017. The voter list is available at localbodyvoterlist.maharashtra.gov.in.
Before you go out to cast your vote, you need to check whether your name listed in the voter list prepared by the respective municipal corporation. The official websites of the BMC, TMC, PMC, NMC and other municipal corporations going to polls also contain the voter list.
Dubbed as a mini Assembly election, over 1.94 crore voters across the state are entitled to exercise their franchise to choose representatives for 10 city corporations on February 21. On the same day 11 Zilla Parishads will go to the polls in the second phase. The first phase of the polls in 15 Zilla Parishads was held on February 16. The results will be declared on February 23.
