Maharashtra: Encounter Breaks Out in Gadchiroli, 2 Maoists Killed

New Delhi: Two Maoists were gunned down in an encounter with security forces in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra on Monday. The identities of the slain Naxals are yet to be ascertained.

The Maharashtra police has launched a cordon and search operation. Further details awaited.

The latest incident comes days after Naxals blew up a bus with an improvised explosive device (IED) in Dantewada district of poll-bound Chhattisgarh. Four civilians and the CISF jawan were killed in that attack.
