Maharashtra: Fire Breaks Out at Furniture Shop Near Muchhala College in Thane

Thane: A fire broke out in a furniture shop at Ghodbunder Road in Thane (West). Fire tenders have reached the spot and are currently carrying out the firefighting operations. No casualties or injuries has been reported as of yet. However, damage to property has been caused.

The shop, where the fire broke out, is located near Muchhala College. The cause of the blaze is yet to be ascertained. Preliminary investigation suspect a short-circuit to have targeted the flames.

On October 9, earlier, a rubber factory in the Dombivli township in Maharashtra was gutted in fire. No casualty was reported in the mishap. More than six fire engines were rushed to the spot and efforts were still on to douse the flames.

Meanwhile, on October 6, six persons were injured in a fire at Sanskar Classes opposite Yes Bank at Thane’s Indira Nagar. The flames erupted following a CNG gas cylinder explosion. All the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.
