Maharashtra, Jharkhand Assembly Election Results 2024 Highlights: The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance routed the Congress-led Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance, registering a landslide victory in Maharashtra, while the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led INDIA bloc swept the polls in Jharkhand in the Assembly Election results which were declared on Saturday.

The BJP powered Mahayuti coalition to victory in Maharashtra, the saffron party winning 132 seats, as the alliance secured 235 of the 288 assembly seats in the state. “The biggest message from Maharashtra after the Haryana polls is unity; ‘ek hain to safe hain’ has become the country’s ‘mahamantra’,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his congratulatory message on BJP and its partners’ overwhelming victory in Maharashtra.

Meanwhile, in Jharkhand, the fortunes were reversed for the BJP-led alliance as the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and its INDIA bloc allies retained power, winning 56 out of the 81 assembly seats in the state. “I want to thank the people of all communities and all the farmers, women and youth of the state for casting their votes with the majority and making this election successful…,” said Chief Minister Hemant Soren as he gears up to retain the state’s top post.

    Exit polls for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 indicate a strong performance for the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, comprising Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena, Ajit Pawar’s NCP, and the BJP.

    -People’s Pulse predicts that the Mahayuti will win 175-195 seats, well above the 145-seat majority mark in the 288-member Assembly.

    -Chanakya Exit Poll projects 150-160 seats for the Mahayuti, suggesting a comfortable victory for the ruling coalition.
