Nanded, Jan 17: A minor girl was reportedly raped and three others were sexually assaulted at a madrassa in Maharashtra’s Nanded. The incidents came to light when a complaint was registered against the madrassa on January 14 by the mother of one of the victim. In her complaint, the woman alleged that her 11-year-old daughter was allegedly raped at the madrassa whereas, another was sexually assaulted. Notably, day after another complaint was registered in which the sexual assault of two minor girls was reported. Noteworthy, a total of 100 girls are enrolled in this madrassa, where Arabi language is taught. Cleric Saber Farukhi teaches them and he has been accused of raping and sexually assaulting the minors. The police have launched a probe in the matter. Farukhi has been on the run since the day the complaints were filed against him.
In a similar incident on January 17, a madrassa teacher was arrested for sexually assaulted an 8-year-old girl in Noida. He was related to the child. Saba Karim had fled to Gurgaon after assaulting his cousin. He was arrested from Barola by a police team.
