In a shocking incident that goes against the nationalistic character of Indians, two Indian men slapped a statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Winnipeg a city in Manitoba, Canada about 850 km west of Ontario. The two men, one seemingly of South Indian origin and another a Punjabi male are seen insulting the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. The incident was first uploaded on Facebook on 15th August, 2015. A third man records the video of the two men as foreign nationals walk by shaming the country. It is a very shameful act to tarnish the image of the Father of our Nation with the selfish act of such a selfless man. There are lots of arguments about questionable decisions taken by Mahatma Gandhi but nothing justifies the insult that has been launched by Indians anywhere. The incident is especially shameful as incidents like this form the extremely infamous image of Indians as tourists to the citizens of other countries.
