After witnessing a shocking defeat in the Assembly election result, Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee is grappling with internal turmoil as several TMC leaders and workers have left the party. Now, as per the latest development, a political row erupted on Wednesday after Trinamool Congress MP Derek O'Brien alleged that security cover outside Mamata Banerjee's Kalighat residence had been withdrawn and removed. According to the video posted on X by the Rajya Sabha MP, MP Derek O'Brien accused the state government of withdrawing security personnel deployed outside the TMC supremo's home.

How are TMC leaders reacting to the removal of Mamata Banerjee's long-serving Personal Security Officers (PSOs)?
Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has alleged that the BJP-led government is "humiliating" Former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. This development comes after her long-serving Personal Security Officers (PSOs) were reportedly moved out from her Kolkata residence. Criticising the Centre over the reported withdrawal of security personnel stationed at Banerjee's residence, Mitra alleged that the move put the three-time Chief Minister's safety at risk.
She wrote, "This is how @MamataOfficial, a 3 term CM and 7 term MP is being humiliated and put at risk by shameless vengeful BJP govt. While Mohan Bhagwat enjoys XYZ +++ security with 100s of commando cars at our expense."
She contrasted Banerjee's security arrangement with that of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, alleging disparity in the level of protection provided. Earlier on Wednesday, Banerjee joined a protest march by hawkers in Dharmatala, against alleged illegal eviction.The protest witnessed participation from party members along with hundreds of demonstrators.

Meanwhile, the TMC party stated, "A shocking new low in POLITICAL VENDETTA. What exactly are you plotting, @SuvenduWB ? Removing the long-serving security personnel protecting @MamataOfficial is not administrative action, it is a CALCULATED MOVE TO ISOLATE AND ENDANGER HER. Your obsession with vendetta politics and your insecurity-driven abuse of power exposes exactly who you are. If 'petty politics' had a face, it would undoubtedly look like yours!"
