New Delhi, July 8: Kolkata Police have arrested a man for sharing a scene of a Bhojpuri film on social media which he claimed to be an actual image from the recent communal riots in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district. The image, as per Alt News, belongs to ‘Aurat Khilona Nahi’, which is a Bhojpuri flick released in 2014.

Meanwhile, the West Bengal Police took to Twitter to request people to not to get carried away by such posts as it aims to create mistrust among communities and appealed all to check facts with them.

Some shared the image on the social media giant including  Vijeta Malik, an official of the BJP’s Haryana unit targeting Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the terrible condition. Today, in a press conference the 12th CM of Bengal hit out at Narendra Modi government and its parent organisation Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) over the violence that has disrupted peace in the state in Eastern India.

The All India Trinamool Congress chief said the ones spreading fake videos and pictures will not be spared by the law, adding, ” I thank the people of Bengal for not giving heed to the spreading rumours and communal hatred. ” She also told that peace has been reinstated. About the image of Bhojpuri flick that landed a man behind bars, the 62-year-old Mamata stated that it was being fanned out to inject unrest in the state. She also mentioned about the image of violence from Bangladesh.

Over the unrest in West Bengal, controversial BJP legislator Raja Singh banking on the Hindutva ideology has again given birth to a controversy by saying the need of the hour is that Bengali Hindus should give a strong reply. “Hindus in Gujarat gave a strong message to the ones who spread communal violence and in Bengal, Hindus should set the same example,” said Raja.

He, as per news agency ANI, further stated that: “Jis prakar Kashmir se Hinduo ko bhagaya gaya usi prakar Bengal se Hinduo ko bhaga ke Bangladesh jaisa rajya ye log bana denge ( Like Hindus in Kashmir were forced to leave the state, in a similar fashion an attempt is being made to kick out the Hindus and turn it into a region like Bangladesh).”

Earlier, he was booked by Hyderabad Police after he threatened to behead those who try to interfere in the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
