Man Strapped With Bomb Hugs Lover, Blow Themselves up in Process

As per police reports, the deceased man and woman were having an extra-marital affair.

Wayanad: In a shocking incident, a man strapped with a country-made bomb walked into his alleged lover’s residence and blew himself while hugging her, thereby killing both of themselves in the process. The incident took place in Kerala’s Wayanad at Naykkatti near Sultan Bathery on Friday.

According to police reports, the blast occurred on the verandah of the victim’s house at around 1:30 PM during Friday prayers. Apparently, the deceased man and woman were having an extra-marital affair.

The couple- Nasar and Amala were running an Akshaya Centre while the woman’s paramour, Benny, ran a furniture shop at Naykatti. Benny was also married. Both couples were family friends and knew each other for nearly eight years.

“The house is completely under police protection. Forensic authorities will examine the place,” said a police official. An investigation is presently underway.

The woman’s three-year-old daughter luckily escaped unhurt. The woman’s other children, a 17-year-old and another 16-year-old daughter weren’t present in the house when the blast took place. They were both at their native place- Muttil in Wayanad at the time of the incident.
