New Delhi: A Jet Airways flight from Bangalore to Mangalore was delayed following a technical snag, news agency ANI reported on Thursday. Earlier it was reported that smoke was seen coming out in Jet Airways ATR plane before take off. Passengers were moved to a different aircraft. However, later Jet Airways later issued an official statement saying, “Our flight 9W 713 from Bangalore to Mangalore was delayed due to a technical snag, while parked at bay, prior to departure. An alternate aircraft was immediately arranged and the flight departed with 71 guests. In September, a Jet Airways flight from New Delhi to Mangalore returned back after being airborne following a technical snag, a source had said. A Jet Airways spokesperson had said flight 9W 1848 from Delhi to Mangalore was delayed due to a “technical snag” necessitating the grounding of the aircraft.
While a source had said the aircraft returned after being airborne, the airline did not provide any details in this regard.
“An alternative aircraft was subsequently arranged and the flight departed at 1610 hours. Guests were served refreshments and looked after during the ensuing delay.
“Jet Airways regrets the inconvenience caused to its guests,” the spokesperson had said.
