New Delhi, Jan 6: Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia accused the central government of using the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to implicate him and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a false case. Manish Sisodia also alleged that the Centre is hatching a conspiracy to get him, Arvind Kejriwal and Satyendra Kumar Jain arrested by misusing the probe agency CBI.Also Read - 30000 Oxygen Beds, Buffer Stock Of Medicines For 2 Months: How Delhi Govt Prepares To Tackle Omicron Threat

Manish Sisodia also said that after raiding Kejriwal’s office in December 2015, Satyendra Jain’s office in December 2016, the Central Bureau of Investigation is planning to raid his office too. “The intention of the CBI was to pressurise Mr Kumar to name Mr Kejriwal as they were planning to raid Chief Minister’s Office and arrest him (Mr Kejriwal).” Also Read - Delhi Pollution Update: Govt Bans Construction Work, Entry of Trucks till This Date

“It was the same set of people (CBI sleuths) who forced bureaucrat BK Bansal and his family to commit suicide,” Mr Sisodia told reporters at his residence. Also Read - Omicron Covid Variant Update: Delhi Govt Puts All Departments on High Alert, Urges People To Avoid Unnecessary Gatherings

This has come a day after Kejriwal’s former principal secretary Rajendra Kumar accused the CBI of putting pressure on him to incriminate the Delhi Chief Minister. “The CBI was putting pressure on Mr. Kumar during interrogation, repeatedly telling him to implicate Mr Kejriwal and that he (Mr Kumar) will be exonerated,” said Sisodia. Rajendra Kumar too had alleged that the BJP-led government is determined to destroy the AAP government in the capital and that people in the 5 poll-bound states “will teach the Saffron party a lesson”.

“During interrogation, I was repeatedly told that I would be freed if I implicated Arvind Kejriwal. Maybe this was the reason behind the agency going to such lengths. Not only this, the CBI, just to force people to implicate me and the Chief Minister, has beaten up dozens of people and some of them sustained permanent major injuries.” Jain said. “These facts are common knowledge in the government, but nobody has the courage to question it,” Mr. Kumar added.

Sisodia also accused CBI of not taking actions against the corrupt but was putting all of its energy in implicating Kejriwal in a false case. “Modiji, do whatever you want. Use CBI to arrest officers, MLAs, Ministers and even me and Kejriwal…but your countdown has started. People of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and other states will teach you a lesson,” Mr Sisodia warned. However, the CBI has denied the allegations as absolutely baseless.
