New Delhi: In a huge reversal of fortunes, West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee lost to Suvendu Adhikari of the BJP by more than 15,000 votes.
With this win, Suvendu Adhikari has emerged as a giant-slayer as he has defeated Mamata Banerjee in her stronghold two times in 5 years.
According to the official data, Suvendu Adhikari received 73,463 votes, while Mamata Banerjee got 58,349 votes after the final round of counting.
