The Delhi Traffic Police has put in place special traffic arrangements in light of the upcoming repair work on the Mayapuri Flyover, set to commence on September 6. This initiative by the Public Works Department (PWD) will lead to significant traffic changes in the area. The repair works will primarily impact the carriageway between Naraina and Raja Garden and are scheduled to span over a period of 30 days.
During the repair period, half of the flyover’s carriageway from Naraina to Raja Garden will be closed off to traffic. Commuters traveling from Dhaula Kuan and Naraina towards Raja Garden are advised to utilize the Service Road from the beginning of the Mayapuri Flyover. It is recommended that they bypass the flyover and continue their journey through Mayapuri Chowk Red Light to avoid any disruptions in their travel route.
Delhi Traffic Police urge commuters to cooperate by avoiding the affected routes and utilising public transport to minimise travel disruptions. Avoiding roadside parking is also recommended, as it can obstruct the normal flow of traffic. Travellers are advised to plan their journeys in advance, especially when heading to hospitals, ISBTs, railway stations, or the airport.
