As the final round of counting for the New Delhi assembly constituency approached, BJP candidate Parvesh Verma’s daughters, Trisha and Sanidhi, expressed their gratitude to voters while strongly criticizing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Celebrating their father’s victory, the sisters thanked the people of New Delhi for their support and took a dig at Arvind Kejriwal’s party. “We are grateful to the voters for their trust. Delhi will not repeat the mistake of electing someone who governs through false promises. We were always confident of a clear victory—just waiting for the right moment. This time, the people of Delhi chose truth over lies,” they stated.

Both daughters were vocal about their views throughout the campaign, criticizing AAP’s governance and policies. They credited their father’s hard work and the BJP’s leadership for the victory, which marks a significant political setback for Kejriwal.

Reacting to his win, Verma, in a cryptic post, took a dig at the AAP. “The darkness has gone, the sun rose, the lotus bloomed. Delhi has chosen development. This victory is of Delhi’s faith, this victory is for the future of Delhi,” he tweeted.

After AAP’s defeat in the elections, several old videos of Arvind Kejriwal resurfaced on social media. In these clips, he confidently stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP could never defeat the Aam Aadmi Party “in this lifetime.”

Speaking at a public gathering in 2023, Kejriwal had declared, “I want to tell Narendra Modi that you cannot defeat us, the Aam Aadmi Party, in Delhi in this birth. You will have to take another birth.”

However, the recent election results have proved otherwise, leading to widespread discussions and reactions online.
