New Delhi: United States First Lady Melania Trump will visit Delhi government schools on February 24 when US President Donald Trump will be meeting PM Narendra Modi. But at a last-minute intervention in the itinerary, both the names of CM Arvind Kejriwal and deputy CM Manish Sisodia have been dropped. Sources in Delhi government said that both of them were supposed to attend the event.
It came as a surprise that visits to Delhi government schools were kept in the itinerary of the First Lady as Delhi witnessed acrimonious campaigning around Delhi government schools as the BJP allegedly posted old photos of a school to dismiss claims of AAP government’s educational reforms. According to reports, Melania Trump elicited interest in Delhi school’s happiness curriculum, which includes meditation and relaxation sessions. The curriculum was introduced by the AAP government. Education minister Manish Sisodia, AAP MLA Atishi were behind the idea of happiness curriculum. Also Read - Delhi Govt School to be Showcased During High-Profile US Visit?
