August 12: The Gurdaspur attack has brought along more terror worries in the nation. A high alert has been issued across the nation to maintain calm and the country secure in the upcoming Independence Day on Saturday August 15, 2015. Many of the major cities in the nation are currently under high alert. (READ: Supreme Court gives interim relief to Dayanidhi Maran)
However, a WhatsApp message going around warns a terrible attack in the nation. According to the message, around 200 terrorists have entered Punjab through the Gurdaspur border along with the other gunmen. It also asks people to stay away from crowded places like malls and to be safe in their own houses. Although we are not sure about the sources of the message, it warns parents from sending their children out of the houses even in the day.
The Union Home Ministry has issued security alert to states including Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Gujarat are also under observation from police forces. Extra police personnel has also been deployed for the same. Alert was issued across Uttar Pradesh in the wake of a terror attack in Gurdaspur districit in Punjab. A red alert was issued across Assam after the attack in Punjab. Gujarat Police has been asked to be on alert especially along the border that India shares with Pakistan.
