Yogi Adityanath stressed on BJP's victory in the recent Uttar Pradesh assembly elections and said that it had only increased the responsibilities of the party and its workers.
Gorakhpur, March 26: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has already started his preparation for 2019 Lok Sabha elections and also asked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders to gear up. With only two years left for 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Yogi Adityanath today met the party MPs and MLAs of Gorakhpur and asked them to start working for 18-20 hours a day so that the party can attain victory in parliamentary polls.
Yogi Adityanath, the newly appointed CM of India’s most populous state also asked all BJP office bearers and public representatives not to undertake any contractual work and instead monitor them for effective execution, PTI reported. Yogi Adityanath on Saturday visited Gorakhpur, his Lok Sabha constituency, first time after winning the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
Rameshwar Chaurasia, a BJP leader and UP co-in-charge who was also present at the meeting at the meeting said that UP CM Yogi Adityanath has asked party workers to prepare for Lok Sabha polls. “UP CM Adityanath said that Lok Sabha polls will take place after two years and by then the work done by the central government and state government must be visible,” said Chaurasia.
During the meeting, Yog Adityanath urged bureaucrats and party workers to work in a coordinated manner for the development of the state by giving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s example and how he worked 18-hours a day. “Time has come that we should work 18-20 hours a day. There no time for any mauj-masti (entertainment),” he said.
Along with other senior functionaries, 13 MPs and 46 MLAs were present at the meeting chaired by UP CM Yogi Adityanath.
Yogi Adityanath ordered MPs, MLAs and party workers to work hard so that in next two years people of Uttar Pradesh will benefit and will also realise that the state is now on the track of development. Yogi Adityanath asked everyone present in the meeting to work hard like PM Modi.
Yogi Adityanath also stressed upon the need to provide uninterrupted electricity supply in Uttar Pradesh in next two months and also ordered the bureaucrats to fill all potholes in the state till June 15.
“In the next two years, you have to work tirelessly, irrespective of the fact that there is heavy rain, sunshine or its freezing. Efforts should be made to ensure that the welfare schemes of the Centre reach to the last man, and needy people are able to avail its benefits,” Yogi Adityanath said.
Yogi Adityanath also stressed all BJP leaders to keep their door open for public. “The doors of your house and office must remain open for the common man. This would make our government transparent and people will be assured that the government is able to reach to the last person of the society”, Yogi Adityanath said.
“In Uttar Pradesh, no one would go to bed empty stomach and money would not be a constraint in a marriage of any girl,” Yogi Adityanath said to his workers.
The UP chief minister also gave out a stern message to the anti-social elements and criminals in the state. “There is no place for anti-social elements in UP. They have the option of leaving the state or else they would land in places designated for them (jails),” he said.
Yogi Adityanath while referring to the acid attack victim from Rae Bareli, he said, “Police officials are working on old style. I went to KGMU to inquire about the health of the woman and gave them an ultimatum that everything must be done in the next couple of hours.”
