New Delhi, June 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the modernised and expanded Bhilai steel plant on Thursday. He will also lay the foundation stone of a permanent IIT-Bhilai campus and unveil a plaque to mark the launch of the Phase-2 of BharatNet. PM Modi will also inaugurate newly-constructed Jagdalpur Airport in Bastar via video conferencing. The Prime Minister, who is one-day visit, has arrived at Raipur Airport around 10.40 AM. At around 12.30 PM, he will be addressing public at Jayanti Stadium which is expected to boost BJP’s position in the state ahead of the Assembly elections likely to be held by year-end. Apart from this, beneficiaries under various schemes will receive laptops, certificates, and cheques from the Prime Minister.
Through Integrated Control and Command Centre in Naya Raipur, water supply, power supply, sanitation, traffic movement, integrated building management, city connectivity and internet infrastructure (data centre) will be carried out. It will be managed through GIS platform, where the residents can register their complaints regarding service dysfunction through helpline numbers.
