MP: 15 People Injured After Part of House Roof Collapses in Chhindwara

Chhindwara: At least 15 people were injured after a part of a roof of a house collapsed earlier today when some people were standing there to watch a Muharram procession in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara district. Out of the 15, at least six of them are seriously injured.

The grave incident took place when people were watching a Muharram procession in Chhindwara’s Royal Chowk area from the third floor of a building. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kamal Maurya confirmed the same.

ASP Maurya said that the slab of the balcony collapsed, thereby leaving people injured. Kotwali Police Station in charge Samarjeet Singh was also among those injured. He added that the six people who suffered grievous injuries have been shifted to a hospital in Maharashtra’s Nagpur.

The injured included eight women and six children.
