Tikamgarh, July 22: At least six people were killed and 11 others were injured, after jeep collided with a truck here in the wee hours of Friday morning. More details about the incident are awaited, even as ambulances have rushed to the scene and have ferried the injured to the hospital. Several people are reported to be in a critical condition. Initial visuals from the spot show a badly mangled jeep, lying on its head, on one side of the road, while the truck looks like its front has collapsed, with the force of the collision. No arrests have been made yet.

No FIRs have been lodged, as more details about the incident are still awaited. Amongst the deceased, how many were men, and how many women and kids, has also not been reported yet. The tragic incident comes just a few months after a similar incident took place in the state on April 15. 11 people from a family had been killed, when a jeep collided with a truck, in Ujjain. Amongst the deceased, five were women and two were children. The dumper had collided with the jeep, head on, completely decimating the entire family. Angered by the deaths, a mob had also set the dumper on fire. The accident had occurred on Ujjain-Aagar Malwa road near Palwa village. All 11 people were killed on the spot. Meanwhile, one person- a toddler- was the only survivor of the accident, which almost annihilated the family which was the native of Mahidpur, said the Ujjain police superintendent.
