New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and Delhi CM-designate Arvind Kejriwal may have stopped wearing his iconic muffler, for now at least, but his party paid tribute to the ‘Mufflerman’ with a 22-second video on social media. On Wednesday, a day after the AAP registered a comprehensive win in the recently-held Delhi Assembly Election, the party’s official Twitter handle posted the video in which an outline of a man, wearing spectacles, the iconic-AAP cap and the now-famed muffler, can be seen. The video also urges more people to join the party, stating ‘To be a part of Revolution, join AAP.’ It also reveals a mobile number-9871010101-on which people can give missed calls and join the party.
Kejriwal was in December questioned by a social media user as to why he wasn’t wearing the muffler. To this, the AAP chief had replied, “I’ve already been using the muffler. You didn’t notice. It’s cold. Please take care, everybody.”
On the result day, however, it was a ‘Chhota Kejriwal’ (mini Kejriwal) who stole everyone’s attention. Dressed in signature Kejriwal clothing, the one-year-old boy became ‘selfie king’ at the AAP headquarters and also became an internet sensation.
