New Delhi: Krafton India has partnered with Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio to launch the country’s first-ever gaming-specific telecom bundle. Seddharth Merrotra, Head of Business Development at Krafton India, while speaking to Moneycontrol, said that this collaboration is a strategic leap toward building a more inclusive and immersive gaming ecosystem. “The core vision,” he said, “was to democratise access to immersive, high-quality gaming for every Indian.”
The Jio x Krafton bundle is designed to lower entry barriers and boost engagement by offering seamless access to 5G-powered connectivity and exclusive BGMI content. “It’s not just about playing; it’s about immersing in a dynamic, responsive gaming world,” Merrotra added.
“This isn’t just a product,” Merrotra emphasised. “It’s a statement of our long-term commitment to India’s gaming community.” “Our partnerships must enhance gameplay and offer real utility to the player,” said Merrotra. This philosophy is central to long-term efforts, such as integrating exclusive BGMI content or crafting culturally resonant experiences.
Krafton India is planning to deepen its support for the local gaming ecosystem. According to the company, Krafton India Gaming Incubator (KIGI) backs 10 Indian gaming startups with funding, tools, and mentorship. Following its investment in Nautilus and over USD 200 million in the Indian startup space, Krafton is doubling down on innovation across sectors including entertainment, education, automotive, and lifestyle.
