New Delhi: Nine coaches of a fast local train plying between Dahanu and Andheri overshot the platform at Bhayander station at around 7 AM on Friday morning. Though there were no casualties due to the incident, the train’s motorman has been suspended. Following the overshooting, commuters were forced to jump onto the tracks to reach the platform. Reports in a leading daily claimed that people waiting at the rear end of the platform find it difficult to board their respective trains. Speaking about the incident, Western railway (WR) officers said,”There is a probability that the motorman and guard of the train might forgot to stop when the train approached at the station. It was later by the time motorman realise the overshooting of the trains post which he applied brakes.”
