Mumbai-bound GoAir Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Aurangabad; All Passengers Safe

Aurangabad: A GoAir plane, flying from Patna in Bihar to Mumbai in Maharashtra, made an emergency landing in Aurangabad following a technical glitch on Sunday. In total, there were 158 passengers on the aircraft.

As per the information shared by news agency ANI, the crew and passengers on board the flight G-8 586 are safe. They will be accommodated on an alternate flight to their destination, the airline said in a statement.

“GoAir flight G-8 586 from Patna to Mumbai made an emergency landing at Aurangabad airport due to technical glitch. All the 158 passengers on the aircraft, including crew, landed safely and will be accommodated on an alternate flight to their destination,” the airline spokesperson said.

In a similar incident in February, a GoAir Airbus Neo aircraft flying from Ahmedabad to Kolkata returned to Ahmedabad airport following a snag in the engine. The flight, with 185 passengers on-board, landed safely. Within half an hour of take-off, the aircraft allegedly suffered the technical snag with heavy vibration in the engine. The flight reportedly took off at 6.00 AM and landed back at the Ahmedabad airport at 8.40 AM.
