Mumbai Doctor Arrested For Rape of 21-year-old Model-actor

The woman was referred to this accused doctor by a friend. She went there for treatment and became friends with the doctor. 

Mumbai: A 55-yr-old doctor has been arrested for allegedly raping a 21-yr-old model and actor.

Police said, “They had come into contact while she was working in a serial. We’ve filed FIR under multiple IPC sections. He has been sent to police custody till May 10. Investigations are on.”

According to a leading daily, the woman was referred to this accused doctor by a friend. She went there for treatment and became friends with the doctor.

Police also told the daily that the doctor even rented a house in Versova for the woman. “During investigations, we found that some money was transferred to the woman’s account by the doctor. The complainant said that the doctor on one occasion took some pictures of her, eventually using it to blackmail her,” an officer told the daily.

According to the police, the accused raped the woman and used the pictures to blackmail her if she ever considered approaching the police. A complaint was registered last week following which, the police arrested the doctor from Chembur.

Police said they were investigating the case further and gathering evidence to file a charge-sheet in the case. “We have interrogated the doctor and we will also be gathering technical evidence to file a watertight charge-sheet in the case,” the officer said.
