Mumbai: A minor fire broke out in Kamala Mills Compound in Lower Parel area of Mumbai during wee hours on Friday. No casualties or injuries have been reported. The cause of fire has not been ascertained as of now.

As per reports, the blaze erupted around 10 AM near Tamasha Lounge at Victoria House. Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the flames were brought under control within no time.

“Fire broke out at Kamala Mill. The fire brigade and our police staff is on the spot,” Mumbai police replied to a tweet by a resident.

Earlier in July, a similar incident was reported from Kamala Mills Compound when the fire engulfed the B-Wing of Trade World building. No loss of life was reported in the incident.

Last year in December around Christmas, 14 people were killed and over 50 injured in the most horrific fire-related incident at Kamala Mills Compound. The flames had destroyed two popular pubs inside the building.
