Mumbai, Dec 29: Local train services between Kalyan and Karjat were suspended after five coaches of Kurla-Ambernath train derailed on early hours of Thursday. According to Central Railway, five coaches of Kurla-Ambernath local derailed between Kalyan and Vithalwadi at 5:53 AM. While the restoration work in underway, services from Kalyan to Ambernath, Badlapur and beyond are stalled. No injuries were reported. Following the derailment of Kurla-Ambernath local train, Central Railway requested KDMC to run extra buses between Kalyan and Ambarnath. Trains from CST to Kalyan and Kasara suburban services are running. Shuttle train services are also running between Ambernath and Karjat.
