New Delhi, Aug 13: A level-II fire broke out in a godown in Mumbai’s Parel, ANI reported on Monday. As per ANI tweet, 12 fire tenders are present at the spot. As of yet, there are no reports of casualties or injuries. The cause of the fire is not yet known. More details are awaited.
In a similar incident, a fire broke out at a seven-storey building near Ganesh Temple in Mumbai’s Dharavi. Earlier on June 13, the level II fire that broke out at commercial premises on Appasaheb Marathe Marg in Worli, Mumbai, turned into a level III fire. Reports said that the fire broke out on the 33rd floor of the Beaumonde Towers and was confined to the 32nd and the 33rd floor. No casualties were reported. A total of 90-95 people were rescued. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
Fire tenders were pressed into service. Movie star Deepika Padukone lives in the building and her apartment is on the 26th floor but she wasn’t inside the building at the time of the incident.
