New Delhi: Local train services on the Western line are running delayed by 20-25 minutes due to a technical problem at Bandra station, news agency ANI reported on Wednesday. However, there is no confirmation from the railways till now.
As per ANI tweet, slow line local trains are being diverted to the fast line. According to reports, the traffic was stopped due to the collapse of the rail line. More details awaited.
On August 10, local train services on Central railway line were delayed by 15-20 minutes following the protest called by motormen against the overtime and vacant posts. The disruption of local train services on the Central line had caused big trouble for thousands of commuters during rush morning hour.
In July, seven persons were injured as a portion of a footover bridge collapsed on the tracks near Andheri railway station following heavy rains in Mumbai. Gokhale Bridge, connecting Andheri East to West, reportedly collapsed. The incident had affected the rail and road traffic.
