Mumbai, Oct 4: The train services on the Central line were affected due to fog on Tuesday morning beyond Dombivli station and trains towards CSMT were running 30-40 minutes late. Many slow trains towards CSMT station from Thane were also cancelled. A lot of people shared the news about fog and trains running late on railway’s m-Indicator application. However, no announcements about the reasons for the delay in trains were made on the official Twitter handle of Central Railways.
Passengers shared messages saying that trains were late due to fog. The delay and cancellation created trouble for people as trains services were affected during the peak hours. People shared their displeasure on the chat box of the railway application. Several people questioned the ‘awful service’ provided by the Central Railways to the Central line.
Twitter users shared information about Up fast trains running slow and slow train services from Thane being suspended.
As it was peak hour when many people travel from long distance stations such as Badlapur, Kalyan, Dombivli, Thane, Mulund towards CSMT for work, the cancellation and delay led to overcrowding on many trains.
