Mumbai Local Train Status: Mega Block on Central And Harbour Lines Today; Passengers Advised to Avoid Overcrowded Local Trains

During the mega block, the local train services will be disrupted on central and Harbour lines. The suburban trains are likely to be more crowded than usual.

Mumbai, Jan 14: A mega block will be carried out by Central Railway on suburban sections for maintenance work on Sunday, January 14. Due to the Central Railways’ mega block, the local train services will be disrupted on central and Harbour lines today. The suburban trains are likely to be more crowded than usual. There will be no mega block on the Western line. On the Central line, all UP (towards CSTM) fast line services from Kalyan leaving between 10:37 AM to 3:56 PM will be diverted on Up slow line between Diva and Parel stations. The trains are also expected to be nearly 20 minutes late.

The CRPO of Central Railways has advised the passengers to not take risks while travelling. “Passengers requested to avoid travelling on foot board, roof top of locals and not to board extremely over crowded trains. These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety,” the CPRO, Central Railway, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

MULUND-MATUNGA UP FAST LINE FROM 11:15 AM TO 4:15 PM

All UP fast line services leaving Kalyan from 10:37 am to 3:56 pm will be diverted on Up slow line between Diva & Parel stations halting at all stations up to Parel & further re-diverted to Up fast line & will arrive destination 20 minutes behind schedule.

Down fast/semi fast services leaving CSMT from 10:05 am to 3:22 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup & Mulund & Diva stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts & arrive destination 20 minutes behind schedule.

All slow line services leaving/arriving CSMT between 11 am & 6 pm will arrive destination 10 minutes behind schedule.

All Mail/Express trains arriving Dadar & CSMT during the block period will be diverted on Up slow line between Mulund & Matunga stations & will arrive destination 20 minutes behind schedule.

50104 Ratnagiri-Dadar Passenger will be terminated at Diva Jn & 50103 Dadar-Ratnagiri Passenger will depart from Diva Jn. Special suburban service will be run from Dadar to Diva for passengers of 50103 which will depart from Dadar at 4:30pm, reach Thane at 4:06 pm & arrive Diva at 4:13 pm.

CSMT-CHUNABHATTI/BANDRA DOWN LINE FROM 11:40 AM TO 4:40 PM & CHUNABHATTI/BANDRA-CSMT UP LINE FROM 11:10 AM TO 4:10 PM

Down Harbour line services to Vashi/Belapur/Panvel leaving CSMT/Vadala Road from 11:34 am to 4:47 pm & Down Harbour line services to Bandra/Andheri leaving CSMT from 9:56 am to 4:43 pm will remain suspended.

Up Harbour line services for CSMT leaving Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 9:53 am to 3:20 pm & Up Harbour line services leaving Bandra/Andheri from 10:45 am to 5:09 pm will remain suspended.

However, Special services will run between Panvel & Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period.

Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line & Western Railway from 10 am to 6 pm during the block period.
