Mumbai Mega Block Latest News: The Mumbai Local Train services on Western Line will remain affected on Sunday, March 3 in the wake of a Jumbo Block that will be carried out for at least five hours for the maintenance of track, signalling and over equipment.

Mumbai Mega Block Latest News: The Mumbai Local Train services on Western Line will remain affected on Sunday, March 3 in the wake of a Jumbo Block that will be carried out for at least five hours for the maintenance of track, signalling and over equipment. (Mumbai Mega Block Complete Coverage)

As per the information shared by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the Western Railway will conduct a Jumbo Block on Up and Down Slow Lines between Santacruz and Goregaon stations from 10.35 AM till 03.35 PM on March 3.

During the block period, all local trains will run on Fast Lines between Santacruz and Goregaon. However, some services will also remain cancelled. On the other hand, all Slow Line local train services will witness a double halt at Vile Parle station on Platform Number 5 and 6 on the Fast Corridor. Most importantly, the local trains will not halt at Ram Mandir station in either direction due to non availability of platform.

The Central Railway has not yet announced the details of the Mumbai Mega Block for March 3 on Central Line and Harbour Line. To avoid inconvenience, the passengers are advised to keep a track on the information shared by IRCTC here.

Notably, the Central Railway and Western Railway carry out Mega Block on almost every Sunday for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works.
