Mumbai, July 30: The local train services in Mumbai will witness a mega block on the Central and Harbour railway line on Sunday. The train services at the Central line will be marred by the mega block between Diva and Kalyan from 10.30 am to 3 pm. Trains leaving from CSMT Mumbai from 9:38 am to 2:54 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, Mulund. On the other hand, trains leaving from Thane towards CSMT will stop at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, and Kurla between 10.45 pm to 3.18 pm.
“On the main line, a block will be taken on the fast corridor between Diva and Kalyan from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm. Kalyan-direction fast trains will be diverted on fast corridor between Thane-Kalyan”, Central Railway spokesperson said.
On the Harbour line, trains leaving from CSMT Mumbai to Chunabhatti/Mahim from 11:40 am to 4:40 pm and trains leaving from Chunabhatti/Mahim to CSMT Mumbai from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm will face mega block. However, there will be special train services available between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No. 8) during the mega block period. During the mega block time, the harbour line/western line passengers are allowed to travel via the main line without any additional tickets.
There will be no block on the Western railway as a jumbo block will take place at Bandra Terminus yard during the night of 31st July 2017 and 1st August 2017, which will not affect the movement of suburban trains.
