Mumbai, August 29: Incessant rains in Mumbai has disrupted lives of Mumbaikars. Since morning, it is raining cats and dogs, severally affecting railway and road traffic. Mumbai IMD has predicted that heavy rains will lash for 24 hours. The big question is, how will Mumbai make-do with waterlogged roads and tracks. Meanwhile, a high tide is expected at 4:35 pm in the city today.

Along with heavy rains, the city is also witnessing strong winds and thunders. There is water accumulation in places such as Dadar, Matunga, Lower Parel, Bandra, Andheri, Kings Circle, Sion, Kurla, Santacruz, Hindmata, and many others. Due to waterlogging, the traffic in these places is running very slow.

Have a look at the pictures how the heavy rains have lashed the maximum city today:

People are stuck in traffic as the roads have almost become invisible due to water accumulation.

The local trains on the Central line are badly affected due to both – heavy rains and derailment of Nagpur-Mumbai Duronto Express train number 12290 near Titwala station today. Also, due to incessant rainfall since Tuesday morning, the trains on the Central line and the Harbour train services have come to a standstill. Trains on the Western railway line are running 15-30 minutes late.
