Mumbai: Restaurant Vandalised in Versova by Swabhiman Sanghathana Demanding Ban on Sale of Hookah

Mumbai, Jan 11: A restaurant in Mumbai was vandalised on Wednesday by a group of people protesting against the sale of hookah. The incident happened on Wednesday evening when Swabhiman Sanghathana workers were caught on camera vandalising the restaurant in Mumbai’s Versova area in Andheri.

The protests against sale of hookah came after an inquiry into the Kamala Mills fire tragedy revealed hookah coal to be the cause of the blaze. The inquiry report stated that the fire started from hookah coal at the restaurant Mojo’s Bistro and not 1 Above.

It was then that Yug Pathak And Yug Tuli, the owners of the ‘Mojo Bistro’ restaurant, were added as accused in the original FIR of the Kamala Mills fire. A hunt is on for Yug

Meanwhile, the owners of 1Above were arrested by the Mumbai police on Wednesday. Kripesh and Jigar Sanghvi were arrested from Bandra, a day after the authorities arrested their close friend Vishal Kariya, who reportedly gave leads to the police. Another partner of the restaurant, Abhijeet Mankar was also arrested.
