Mumbai, July 6: Two out of the four teenagers who drowned off Juhu Chowpatty last evening and were missing hence have been found dead. The bodies of Sohail Shakil and Fardin Shaikh, both aged 17 years were found after a massive search operation. The bodies of the deceased was handed over by the coast guard chopper at the Juhu beach. Meanwhile, the bodies of the other two teenagers, Faizal Sheikh and Nazir Ghazi still remain missing.
Another man, Waseem Khan who was also present at the Juhu Chowpatty yesterday was rescued by lifeguards and locals and was rushed to Cooper Hospital where he is undergoing treatment. While Khan was saved, the four teenagers were washed away by the high tide. Jitesh Manghela, an eyewitness who was out for a picnic with his family said,”We told them not to go too close to the sea because of the high tide and rain but they didn’t listen.”

All the teenagers were from the Gilbert Hill precinct in Andheri (west) and had gone to the seafront to celebrate the birthday of their fellow friend Fardeen.
Navy had deployed its SeaKing 42C helicopters yesterday. One Navy and CG Chetak each took off from INS Shikra, Colaba today morning to continue the search and rescue operation.
