New Delhi, August 13: Around 15 people were injured in a stampede that broke out at the Garibnath Temple in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar on Monday. The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital.

The incident took place due to the ruckus after scores of devotees thronged the temple on third ‘somvaar’ (Monday)  of the Shravan month of the Hindu calendar.

The police have begun rescue and relief works and the situation is said to be under control now.

No causalities have been reported so far. More details in the incident awaited.
