Patna, February 27: The opposition parties on Tuesday created ruckus in the Bihar Assembly as it protested against the Nitish Kumar government and demanded the arrest of suspended Bharatiya Janata Party worker Manoj Baitha. Leading the protest, RJD leader and former deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav demanded Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the incident. “Neither Nitish Kumar nor Sushil Modi have spoken on this or sought apology yet. Baitha, a district level worker of Sitamarhi, was suspended from the primary membership of the party for a period of six years on Monday.
The police have registered an FIR against Baitha on the complaint of a local who lost his granddaughter in the incident.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi has said the police were directed to take “sternest possible action” against Baitha irrespective of his political affiliations.
