Mysuru (Karnataka): While no party has yet crossed the majority mark in Tumkur and Mysuru Mahanagara Palike Election Results 2018, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged as the single largest party. The saffron party has, however, won the Shimoga Mahanagara Palike winning 20 out of 35 seats.
In Shivamogga or Shimoga, the Congress has bagged seven seats and the JD(S) has managed only one.

In Mysuru Mahanagara Palike, out of a total of 65 seats, the BJP has won 22, the JD (S) has bagged 18 and the grand-old Congress party has managed 19 seats. The others collectively have won 5.

In Tumkur’s 35 seats, the BJP, Congress and the JD(S) have won 10 seats each.

The election to 105 Urban Local Bodies including three Mahanagara Palike across Karnataka held from 7 AM to 5 PM registered 63.8 per cent voting, the State Election Commission (SEC) said on Friday. Polling took place peacefully across the 2,662 wards of the state, spread over 29 city municipalities, 53 town municipalities and 23 town panchayats and in 135 wards of the three city corporations (Mysuru, Shivamogga and Tumakuru Mahanagara Palike), an election official said.
