Jaipur, July 7: A man has been taken into custody after he made a call threatening a blast in Jaipur where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conducting a public rally on Saturday. Earlier in the day, PM Modi visited Sawai Man Singh Stadium at Jaipur, the capital city of poll-bound Rajasthan, on Saturday after 12.30 PM. He interacted with beneficiaries of seven central government and five state government’s flagship schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana. The Prime Minister further inaugurated 13 urban infrastructure projects worth over Rs 2,100 crore. The projects include Integrated Infrastructure package for Udaipur, Elevated Road Project for Ajmer, Water Supply and Sewerage projects in various cities including Dholpur, Nagaur, Alwar, and Jodhpur.
Last year on February 27, Delhi police control room received a hoax PCR call at 12.41 PM stating that a bomb was going to blast in Prime Minister Modi’s Mou rally. Subsequently, enquiries were carried out by the police, which then led to conviction of a man, identified as Deepak.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police, North-West District, confirmed the arrest of a hoax caller who had threatened to carry out a bomb blast in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election rally in Mou, Uttar Pradesh.
