New Delhi, July 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed people in the tenth edition of his Mann Ki Baat programme. In his latest Mann Ki Baat, Narendra Modi paid tribute to the martyrs of Kargil war on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas and spoke about the road safety guidelines too. “I salute all brave soldiers who lost their lives in Kargil war, for their sacrifice and valour, on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas; Modi said beginning his Radio programme. Giving statistics, Modi expressed concern over increasing number of road accidents in India. “One is shocked to see the statistics of road accidents in country, every 4 minutes a person dies in road accident,” Modi said requesting parents to inform their young children in the family about importance of road safety rules. Prime Minister also promised that the government will soon unveil a road safety policy and cashless treatment for victims of road accidents in select cities and national highways. PM also expressed concern over declining interest among the youth in the subject of Science and Technology. “Science and technology are the DNA of development”, said Modi inviting the student in the field of science and technology. Modi promised to provide 24-7 power supply in every village and highlighted the Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana scheme of the government made for the difficult task.
