Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a temple dedicated to him in Rajkot, Gujarat. The temple is drawing a lot of visitors after the news broke about the same. As per the reports it took two years to build the temple and four years for the idol after a person named Ramesh Undhad donated funds for temple building. The temple is drawing crowd from neighbouring villages. In the beginning the temple did not install the idol of Narendra Modi, instead had a photograph of Modi. The making of the idol costed around 1.65 lakh and it took almost four years for the completion of the idol work by artists from Odisha. The person who funded the temple building is an immense admirer of Narendra Modi and he looks up to him as the second Vallabhbhai Patel.
Just like any other temple, prayers take place in morning and evening. Not only people from Rajkot but also neighbouring villagers come to witness the prayers. The temple will be officially inaugurated by the Gujarat Minister of State for Agriculture Mohanbhai Kalyanjibhai Kundariya on February 15.
But following the news of a temple for Narendra Modi in Rajkot, Gujarat drawing lot of visitors, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is unhappy wth the temple dedicated to him. Modi took to social media site Twitter and tweeted abotu it saying “Building such Temples is not what our culture teaches us. Personally, it made me very sad. Would urge those doing it not to do it.”
