Patna, July 25: The numerous schemes launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his visit to Bihar has not  been fully appreciated by the state ruling Janata Dal (United). JD(U)’s national convener Sharad Yadav dismissed the initiatives made by the Prime Minister, accusing him of rehashing the previous schemes started by the earlier governments. According to Sharad Yadav, Modi failed to launch any new scheme benefiting the people of Bihar. “Vo saari pehle ki schemes ko repackage kar rahe hain,kuch naya nahi announce kara” (Earlier schemes have been repackaged, nothing new was announced), he said. JD(U) at lashed out the Prime Minister for not granting the ‘special state’ status to Bihar. “There is a difference between special status and special package. We demanded Modi ji to give Bihar the status of vishesh rajya,” said JD(U) spokesperson K C Tyagi. Modi took a jibe at Lalu Prasad Yadav during his address, referring to him as an inefficient Railway Minister. This has reportedly not gone down well with the JD(U) leaders. Earlier in the day, Narendra Modi on his visit to Bihar announced the launch of IIT Patna. He also flagged off two special trains to be run between Mumbai-Patna and Bihar Sherif to Daniawan. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar shared the dais with Modi and appreciated the steps taken by the NDA government.
