Narendra Modi to address two rallies in Bihar ahead of fourth phase of Bihar elections

New Delhi, Oct 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two rallies at Gopalganj and Muzaffarpur ahead of fourth phase of Bihar Assembly Elections 2015 will end today. Campaigning for the fourth phase of state Assembly elections will come to an end this evening. Fourth phase of election will be held in 57 constituencies which is spread over seven districts of northern part of Bihar. The districts include Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, Siwan, East and West Champaran.

Fourth phase of election will be held on Sunday. Polls to the 243-seat Assembly would be held in a five phase election starting from October 12, 16, 28 to November 1 and 5. Counting of votes will be held on November 8.

The elections are primarily fought between Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led  National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and Nitish Kumar-led grand secular alliance, comprising Janata Dal (U), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Congress Party.

 Modi had 17 rallies scheduled for six days from October 25. Reportedly, ahead of every poll, Modi would address seven to eight rallies. However, opposition criticised Prime Minister’s absence for almost nine crucial days during the elections. Opposition said that BJP’s poor performance in the previous days of polls were the reason for it. (Also Read: Narendra Modi sensing defeat in Bihar, claims Rahul Gandhi)

Modi will also address a rally in Srinagar on November 7. Hurriyat Conference (APHC) led by Syed Ali Geelani has announced a counter rally ‘million march’ in Srinagar on the same day.
