New Delhi, March 19: Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife Aaliya has spoken out on the controversy regarding the Call Details Records (CDR) case and said that there was no truth to the story whatsoever. In an exclusive conversation with Zee News, she said their domestic life had been disturbed because of the controversy Nawazuddin had been mired in. She added that they led an ‘aam admi’ life which had been disturbed because of the controversy. Clearing the air over their marital life, Aaliya said all was well between them but news like that disturbed the momentum of everyday life. Aaliya added that although Nawazuddin had already cleared the controversy, he would come out in the open and still give a statement later. The actor is currently busy reading scripts but remains extremely perturbed after the CDR case came to light. She also said that although they returned after celebrating their anniversary, Nawazuddin remained sad. On the other hand, she did not comment on advocate Rizwan Siddiqui’s arrest that took place last night after the latter did not turn up before the Thane police despite summons. Earlier too, Aaliya had come out in support of her husband by penning a long Facebook post in which she claimed Nawazuddin is a soft target. She added how there had been rumours about them as a couple in the past too with some saying that they were heading for divorce and some claiming that they were not staying together. For the unversed, the versatile Bollywood actor was accused of spying on his wife. However, on Saturday, the Thane police officers said that actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui was not directly involved in the case after inquiries into the call detail records (CDRs) racket were further conducted.
